Dads + Kids Helping the Community
Dads with Rakes is a volunteer group of men and kids who enjoy the outdoors and being of service to others. We provide free, basic spring and fall clean-ups to retirees or single parents who own a single-family home in Berlin, Connecticut. We don’t require verification of your age or marital status; we operate on the honor system. We expect that you do too.
How it Works
You qualify for our services if: (1) you own a home in Berlin, Connecticut, (2) live in that house, and (3) you’re a single parent or retiree. Here’s how it works:
Step One
We arrive at your home with an army of dads and their children equipped with rakes.
Step Two
We spend 30-60 minutes at your property, clearing it of leaves and other debris.
Step Three
You supply the leaf bags and we pack the bags and leave them at your curb. It’s that easy!
